A house which featured in the hit Netflix series Sex Education is up for sale.

Built on 4.52 acres of land, the guide price for the property stands at £1.5m.

The Norwegian-style chalet in the Herefordshire village of Symonds Yat, within a few miles of the Welsh border, was built in 1912.

The current owner purchased the property in 2002 and under their ownership, it has featured on the streaming platform’s acclaimed series as well as Channel 4’s Extraordinary Escapes.

In Sex Education, the property features in all four seasons as the house where Jean (Gillian Anderson) and Otis Milburn (Asa Butterfield) live.

The series, which first debuted in 2019, recently dropped its final eight-part season.

Many locations around the border area and into South Wales have featured in the series, including Newport International Sports Village, Margam Country Park and St Fagans National History Museum on the outskirts of Cardiff.

James Toogood, head of estate agent Knight Frank’s Bristol office, said the fact the property is “so well-known only adds to its appeal”.

He said it provided an “incredibly rare opportunity to own a spectacular home with exceptional views of the River Wye in a beautiful, private, woodland setting”.

The five-bedroom property is situated in the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
